Dates of Show: September 7 – 26, 2012
Submission Deadline for 2 – 3 Artworks: November 15, 2011
Notification of Which Piece to Send (via email only): December 15, 2011
Work must be shipped so that it is received in Santa Fe between the established dates, which will be announced upon notification. Shipping details will also be sent at that time.
Only currently paid members of the IAC are eligible to submit 2 – 3 pieces for consideration, of which one will be included in the exhibition.
The Exhibition Committee, consisting of Anna Calluori Holcombe and Linda Lighton as co-chairs, Glen R. Brown and Marc Leuthold as members, will be curating the show in consultation with Laura Addison, the NM Museum of Art Curator of Contemporary Art.
In order to make the best decisions for the most professional installation possible, we are asking that each member submit at least 2 works and a maximum of 3 works for the curatorial process. Please be aware that should you submit only one piece it may not be included in the show if it does not meet the installation criteria established by the museum.
The NMMA can accept work that is smaller than 2 x 2 x 2 ft/ 600 x 600 x 600 mm. Limited wall space is available. All plinths and wall cases will be covered with vitrines. For security reasons, Museum policy is that all work must be exhibited inside a vitrine. This should also add to the professional quality of the installation.
All images submitted will be included in a continuously running slide presentation in the museum. The image of the work chosen will be published in the Catalog of the IAC Members Exhibition so image quality is of the utmost importance.
